Her Education

Love attended St. Clement's Primary School, Omukwu Onicha, Mbaise, and began her foray into lifelong learning, research, and teaching. In 1964 she gained her First School Leaving Certificate. She proceeded to Anglican Girls' Grammer School, Awkunanu, Enugu, in 1965 for her secondary school education.

In 1967, the Nigerian Civil War began and went on till 1970. Young Love was forced to leave school and return to her village home in Mbaise. While she was at home, she continued to study privately. She even attempted all the questions in the C.V Durrel Mathematics textbooks in Geometry, Arithmetics, and Algebra. She also served the women in her community during the war by helping them write letters to their sons who were enlisted in the Biafran army.

At the war's end in 1970, she enrolled in Ekwerazu Girls Secondary School, earned her West African School Certificate in 1971, and graduated with one of the best results that year. She then attended the Women Training College Umuahia for the one-year teacher training program. She earned the Teachers' Grade II certificate in 1975. After that, she gained admission to the University of Lagos, Akoka, where she undertook and earned the following Graduate and Post-Graduate degrees:
1. Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Biology Education (1983) 
2. Master of Education (M.Ed) in Curriculum Studies (1985) 
3. Master of Philosophy of Education (M.Phil) in Curriculum Studies (1987) 
4. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Curriculum Studies (1991)

As part of her post-graduate education, Love was professionally trained at the National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research of Chennai, India. She was awarded an Advanced Certificate in Curriculum Design and Instructional Materials Development (2005). Love was a fully trained and skilled expert in curriculum matters.
